Stoney Plain Alberta

Stony Plain, AB

We’ve just completed an amazing time of ministry at Lighthouse Church in Stony Plain, AB.  I was struck by the heart and vision they carry, including reaching out to communities in the western Arctic.  Like us, they are contending for revival from sea to sea, and to the ends of the earth, and desire to see men and women arise in the power of the Spirit to impact the nation at every level of society.

On Friday evening, as I shared my heart for Canada, I heard encouraging testimonies from people who are already answering the call to Stand On Guard for righteousness in the nation.  In a follow-up email, one lady told us,
“My heart is to stand as an intercessor for this nation and for our First Nations people, training up our children and youth in Fort Saskatchewan Christian School (where I am the Chaplain) to do the same. I have approx. 40 students from ages 9-15 meeting three noon hours a week to pray and do prayer initiatives regularly such as prayer-walking, meeting and praying in our city council chambers, at our legislature and one prayer team will be going to NHOP (Ottawa) in June to join Kenny Blacksmith for the 1st National Aboriginal Prayer Breakfast and pray in the House of Commons.

On April 22nd I have invited 90 students from Christian schools from all over the province of Alberta to join me for our second annual Day of Prayer at our Legislature called The Alberta Youth Call 2 Prayer. In October I also had the opportunity to speak to about 700 Educators at a teacher convention about prayer for our province. I am happy to say Alberta now has a Chaplain, Larry Lindoff who is providing Chaplaincy services to our Legislative Assembly under the organization Leading Influence…”

She shared many other initiatives she and others have undertaken to bless other aboriginal Christian schools, and influence political leaders, and added:
“I have written to you about what we are doing here in Alberta with the youth with hopes that it will encourage you that God is raising up a generation who desire that righteousness and justice will prevail in the halls of our government.”

A principal also told us how he is releasing the Light of Christ to shine in the public school system, and others reported about the opportunities God is giving them to touch their spheres of influence with the presence of Jesus.  During a time of prayer ministry, many people came forward to testify that they were healed. A man with a hernia reported it had disappeared and many had pain that was totally gone.

On Saturday morning, after I taught some principles of healing, my assistant, Luke Price led the audience in a time of activation, when people prayed for each other. Many reported that they’d been healed when their prayer partner ministered to them.

In the afternoon, Luke and I shared a word about Transforming Your Community, including stories of communities that have been transformed, both in Canada and in Arctic Russia, as the power of God swept through and the message took hold in people’s hearts.  It inspired the audience to believe for their own community, and where they do missions outreaches.  This service prepared their hearts for Saturday evening, when I was privileged to conduct an impartation service, and pray for every person there, that they might be empowered by the Holy Spirit to see transformation, healing and miracles.

Our weekend climaxed on Sunday morning, with a time of great worship and encouragement for people to be specific in prayer, and to expect great things from God as they move forward with fresh anointing.  I truly expect to hear many good reports in the coming days, as they continue to Stand On Guard, and contend for revival!
