Miracles in the Maritimes

Miracles in the Maritimes

The Maritime provinces experienced a dynamic demonstration of God’s miracle-working power from April 4th to 7th.  Luke Price, Gwen and I ministered in three strategic eastern gateway cities: St. John, NB, New Glasgow, NS, and Moncton, NB.

April 4th: St. John, NB – Miracles In the Maritimes Conference:

It was a great privilege to speak on the opening night of Miracles In the Maritimes Conference that featured some of North America’s spiritual giants: Faytene Grassechi, James Levesque and Brian Simmons.  Hungry people came from across the Maritimes and New England to experience God and to be ignited with fresh passion for an outpouring of His Spirit.

As I shared my heart, I endeavoured to awaken people to understand their destiny.  I believe that our flag, which bears a large maple leaf, speaks to Canada’s prophetic purpose to take “healing to the nations” (see Revelation 22:2) .  But I also believe that, in order to fulfill that purpose, our nation must also be healed.  An insidious, destructive force is eating away at the core values upon which our nation was founded – values expressed in our motto: “He shall have dominion from sea to sea.” (Psalm 72:8).

Christian principles that were woven into every fibre of Canada’s educational, political, legal, cultural and social systems have been systematically stripped away, and an anti-God, secular ideology has filled the void.  Now is the time for Christians to ARISE, and to not only speak out for righteousness, but to demonstrate His goodness and grace to our desperately needy nation.

The Lord confirmed the word with mighty miracles.  Numerous people testified that God had powerfully healed their bodies, and many conditions, including, a 10-year foot condition that caused severe burning pain, several hip, leg and joint conditions, serious infection and a 28-year-old asthma condition.  The miracles sparked a wave of worship and celebration, and many committed their lives afresh to fulfill God’s purposes.

April 5th-6th: New Glasgow, NS – Stand On Guard:

Approximately 18 months ago, the Holy Spirit impressed on my heart that I must take our Stand On Guard message across Canada, to awaken believers to the time we are living in, and to stir them to action.  For too long, many in the Christian Church as a whole have been sleeping.  Even in the Spirit-filled, charismatic community of believers many have been comfortably receiving God’s goodness, but have neglected to give it away.  When Jesus gave the Great Commission, “Go into all the world and preach the Gospel,” the mandate was placed upon every believer, with signs, wonders and miracles following!

Many outstanding healing testimonies were reported, including many miracles that took place when people prayed for one another, as tangible evidence that God uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things!  One of the most touching miracles happened on Saturday evening, when a sweet eighty-year-old gentleman came forward for prayer, using a walker.  He explained that the deterioration of his spine caused pain from head to toe, and had made it impossible for him to stand erect, or to walk on his own.  I learned that he had sung twice for Queen Elizabeth, but had not been able to use his talent recently.  I persuaded him to attempt one of the songs he’d sung, and as he did, his voice got increasingly stronger, and by the time he finished, he was standing erect, without pain.  Moments later, he walked throughout the auditorium, totally unaided!

Many people who reported marvelous healings included a woman with cystic fibrosis, a singer suffering from a lung infection that had hindered her ministry, another scheduled for knee surgery, others with back, neck and knee problems, and many others with various conditions.  A young man who had recently been released from serving 15 years in prison and had found Jesus, claimed his healing from long-term alcohol addiction.  A woman suffering extreme sickness from an intestinal parasite said her doctor had recommended that she go to the hospital to be treated.  She came to the service instead, and received instantaneous healing!

The crusade culminated with a time of celebration and “fire tunnel” of prayer.  As our team and church’s ministry team laid hands on each person who passed through, the power of God came upon many.  Eternity has recorded all that the Lord has done in their hearts as His anointing invaded their lives!serving 15 years in prison and had found Jesus, claimed his healing from long-term alcohol addiction.  A woman suffering extreme sickness from an intestinal parasite said her doctor had recommended that she go to the hospital to be treated.  She came to the service instead, and received instantaneous healing!

April 7th: Moncton, NB – Living Waters Church:

Before heading back to Ottawa, we were blessed to minister at Living Waters Church, which recently launched and holds services at Crandall University in Moncton.  Crandall was established by evangelical believers with a desire to see young men and women educated from a thoroughly Christian perspective.  What a blessing to know that they have remained true to their calling, and that they have made their facilities available for Living Waters Church to proclaim the Gospel.

The Lord proved Himself faithful once again, and confirmed the word with many testimonies of physical healing.  When we returned home I received a message from Pastor Jeff Goodwin saying, Just got a report that a man with ALS in our service yesterday spoke for the first time in many months!  Hallelujah!  Jesus is alive, and with Him, nothing is impossible!   I believe a big portal of God’s glory has been opened at the eastern gateway of Canada, and that it will continue to spread “from sea to sea, and to the ends of the earth.”
