Israel - Day 2

We just finished our second day and yet God has done so much already. Today we hiked up Mount Tabor, which is best known as the Mount of Transfiguration. If anyone was worried about Bill not being able to do this trip, today he proved the critics wrong. The summit is 1,843 feet (575 m) above our starting point at the base of the mountain. It wasn’t an easy hike for us but we went with purpose.

I can picture Peter, James and John hiking up with Jesus. That hike, as difficult as it was, was so worth it. Just as in Jesus’ day we had an amazing encounter on top of the Mountain. We had a powerful time of worship and prayer. There was a heavy anointing for breakthrough. As we prayed I believe the many issues we’re dealing with back home were moved. We went with the intention of seeing Jesus and experiencing His glory and we were not disappointed! How great is it that Jesus is still showing His glory to us today! When you go with a heart set on meeting Jesus, whether it’s to a service or up a mountain, you will not be disappointed. I’ve been reminded of how important it is to be intentional in seeking Him everywhere I go. Tomorrow is the Galilee region where much of Jesus' ministry occurred! Looking forward to more encounters with Him.
