Repulse Bay Trip Extended

Praying for the new building in Repulse Bay

Repulse Bay, NU

There's one thing you can be certain of when dealing with flights in the north: uncertainty. The last time I tried to reach Repulse Bay, cancellations meant I couldn't make it. This trip, my stay has been extended due to a cancellation. This means another day with the local believers and another service tonight. We will be advertising on local radio to let people know and I am certain that God has big plans for this evening. The services have been building while I'm here and it's obvious that God has more for the people of Repulse Bay before I leave.

The 3 services so far have been a part of a wonderful weekend. I've also been able to connect with the people here and pour into them between services as well as plan for the future in Repulse Bay. God has big plans for this little community and the local believers will be a key part of it. Sunday morning was a highlight as I shared the miracles we've seen and the vision God has given us for Repulse Bay (http://bpea.com/repulse-bay-testimony.php for that story). There was a lot of excitement both for what God has done and what He's about to do. We spent time in prayer for the new building and for God's plans to use it to see young leaders trained to release hope and the power of the gospel in their own community.

Last night was an amazing service as things continued to build. It was a full house as I shared on the love and grace of God and the transforming power of Holy Spirit. Many came forward for prayer; some to give their lives to Jesus, others to recommit them, and still others to receive boldness and the power to be a witness that comes with the baptism of the Holy Spirit. It was a mixture of tears and rejoicing as Inuit young and old received a touch from God.

I'm looking forward to tonight and expect many lives to be touched and transformed. The prayers of our many partners can be felt as I minister and I am so thankful to know that I'll have that same support as I minister tonight and, God willing, as I travel home tomorrow.
