The Mandate:

Forty years ago, when the Prankards were launched into healing evangelism ministry, the Holy Spirit put the mandate of Psalm 72:8 on their hearts, and they knew they must both declare and demonstrate His dominion, not only “from sea to sea”, but also “to the ends of the earth.”

BPEA at Work in Canada’s North:

The Prankards began their Arctic ministry by evangelizing in Inuit villages in Canada in the mid-1970’s where there was little or no Gospel witness, Over the years hundreds of Inuit lives have been transformed, healed, delivered from severe addictions, and equipped to reach their own people for Christ. BPEA has also provided funds to construct several churches, deliver emergency aid to needy communities, send monthly support to resident workers, and provide spiritual counsel to leaders. The Canadian Arctic is vastly different today, and most communities now have solid, Spirit-empowered churches led by dedicated Inuit pastors.

Reaching the Unreached in Arctic Russia:

In 1993 Bill Prankard became aware of thousands of unreached Inuit scattered across 11 time zones in the Russian Arctic. Some live in extremely isolated villages, forgotten by the world, while other nomadic groups still roam the frozen tundra, following their
migrating reindeer herds, living in tents and worshipping idols. He began the daunting effort of taking teams to as many isolated communities and tundra families as possible. To accomplish their missions, the Prankards and their teams put their lives on the line, enduring extreme sub-zero climates, overcoming harassment and opposition from government authorities, sleeping in tents and traveling across the rugged terrain in tundra tank vehicles or snowmobiles.

Through the efforts of BPEA and dedicated Russian workers whom they’ve supported over the years, many Russian Inuit have heard the message of Christ and received life-giving aid.

In the intervals between Bill Prankard and his Canadian team’s visits, with your generous support, the Russian workers have returned regularly to follow up and help the new believers in their faith and have provided life-saving aid to needy families. Because these villages are so remote, BPEA set up local “DVD churches” in several communities so that local believers can reach out to their neighbours, using Russian-language teaching DVD’s. This ensures that the Gospel message goes forth in the absence of the teams and workers. They also support an orphanage in Central Siberia, where children are rescued from a life of poverty and abuse at the hands of predators, to become solid believers and contributing members of society.
