Northern Saskatchewan!
At the begining of this year, we really felt strongly that we were to start travelling to First Nations communities as we continue to work along side our young leaders in Nunavut. And I am so ahppy to say I just returned from an absolutely incredible first trip ministering to the Cree people of Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation!
We had four nights and four days together and it was an honor to bring hope to fellow indigenous people and believe God with them for an incredible future!
It is so important that especially in these times of pain and grief that we hold on to hope. The past can be painful to remember, but the hope and future that we find in Jesus is able to ignite new life in our hearts.
I'm so excited to journey with these amazing people! I was so encouraged to hear the Hope stories of people like Tarrant Crosschild. After struggling with alcohol abuse for many years, it was the persistant prayers of his young daughter that paved the way for him to have a life changing encounter with Jesus! Since that time he has been completely set free from alcoholism and now travels with his daughter telling their story of how God saved his life and restored their family! Stories like his are the types of stories that so many people need to hear.
Please keep this reserve and it's amazing people in your prayers. I believe that they will be a key to the neighboring reserves, and their greatest days are just ahead of them!
